Geography: Pennsylvania is bordered by
New York and Lake Erie to the north. In the south, Pennsylvania
shares borders with West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey.
To the east, New York and New Jersey line up on the Pennsylvania border.
Pennsylvania meets Ohio and an arm of West Virginia on the west.
Fun Stuff: Named after William Penn, Pennsylvania
is also called the Keystone State. During colonial times, Pennsylvania
was the middle colony of the original thirteen colonies – it held
the colonies together like the "keystone" in a window or arch.
Seven important documents were written in this great state, including
the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and Lincoln's
Gettysburg Address.
