Galápagos Family Tour Hotels Night
1, 2 & 7: Hilton Colón Guayaquil The perfect starting and ending point for your cruise to the amazing Galápagos Islands, your accommodations in Guayaquil are located by the Guayas River, just minutes from the airport and city center. As befits a Hilton property, guest rooms are well appointed with air conditioning, TV, high-speed Internet access and a mini-bar and feature river or mountain views. Hotel restaurants serve a variety of cuisines for every taste, including Italian, barbecue specialties, and Japanese favorites, and even include a deli for impromptu snacking. On-site recreation includes an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center and a casino. Whether you are taking the time to acclimate to the city before embarking on your cruise or getting your land legs back after spending four nights on the water, the Hilton Colón Guayaquil ensures your every comfort. Night 3 – 6: Aboard M/V Santa Cruz Get ready to embark on the only ship built exclusively for Galápagos Island cruising and used exclusively for Tauck Bridges families during your cruise. There are 46 air-conditioned cabins on this expedition ship that all meet the same high standards for comfort and style. Families have the choice of single, double, triple and quad accommodations that vary with twin or double beds, and sofa beds for children. Be sure to check the deck plans to see which best suits your family's needs. There are four suites on the Boat Deck that include private balconies. Staterooms on the Main and Upper decks offer a variety of choices. Rest assured, you probably won't be spending much time in your stateroom because there is so much to see outside. In fact, you will be cruising with an on-board team of naturalists who will tell you all about the natural wonders you will see every day on different islands in the Galápagos. This will include lectures, multi-media presentations, on-deck talks before your shore excursions and recaps of your day's adventures. By day, climb aboard a zodiac-style boat to explore the islands on hikes and walks; go snorkeling or ride the glass-bottom boat to view the fascinating marine life of this underwater wonderland. At night, join your fellow shipmates for some of the best stargazing anywhere; the southern skies come alive in the dark with stars and beautiful constellations. At any time during your cruise, you are welcome to head to the observation platform on the Sun Deck to look for dolphins and whales, relax in the Jacuzzi or look up more information in the well-stocked library on the unique animals you just saw. Even dining is a delight for all ages on board the Santa Cruz; shipboard menus include Ecuadorian dishes and international cuisine that everyone in your party is sure to enjoy. Bon voyage! |
