Night 1: The Fairmont Scottsdale
Scottsdale, Arizona

You may not expect to find such a luxurious resort in the Sonoran Desert, but the Fairmont Scottsdale is renowned for treating its guests to wonderful surprises – a great reason to book an extra night here before your family adventure begins. Home to one of the best spas in North America, three award-winning restaurants and two championship golf courses, this resort also has five swimming pools and seven tennis courts that promise hours of family fun. Authentic southwestern décor and stunning views of the majestic purple peaks of the McDowell Mountains whet your appetite for the discoveries that await in America's canyonlands, where red rocks and painted canyons tell tall tales of times past!

Night 2: Kachina or Thunderbird Lodge
Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

The Grand Canyon is unequivocally the most spectacular gorge in the world. Layers of rock found in the canyon retrace the earth's geological history of the past 2 million years. It's no wonder that millions of people visit it each year, with many of them only viewing it from their car. Tauck Bridges guarantees your accommodations at the Kachina Lodge or Thunderbird Lodge, often sold out more than a year in advance. Similar in style and design and both owned by Grand Canyon Lodging Properties, these lodges are located in Grand Canyon National Park near the South Rim of the canyon. When you stay here, you'll be able to enjoy the serenity of the canyon after all the day's crowds depart. Make sure to look up at the stars during your overnight stay; Grand Canyon National Park is famous for its night skies! That said, watching the sun rise in the canyon is truly magical; get up early for an experience you'll never forget!

Night 3 & 4: Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas
Page Arizona

Did you know that Lake Powell has a shoreline longer than the whole western coast of the continental United States? 186 miles long, it also is home to over 90 major canyons, 800 different kinds of mammals and amazing red-rock scenery. There are 6 different marinas on this man-made lake; your accommodations are at Wahweap, the largest marina on the lake. In addition to offering you comfortable lodging, terrific dining, and great views of the lake, your resort makes a wide range of water sport activities available to its guests, including boating, skiing, kayaking and fishing. You'll spend two nights here on our Tauck Bridges adventure, the perfect base to explore Rainbow Bridge, mystical Antelope Canyon and other amazing Glen Canyon sights.

Night 5: Bryce Canyon Lodge
Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah

If you've ever wanted to spend the night in a real log cabin, your stay at the Bryce Canyon Lodge will be a real treat. Built of sandstone and ponderosa pine, the main Lodge is rustic and rugged with hickory-stick furniture and an unbeatable location a few steps from the canyon's rim right in the heart of the park. Cozy lodgepole-pine cabins provide comfortable accommodations during your stay and feature log beams, fireplaces and a private porch; nature is your entertainment here – there are no TVs! While the serenity of your surroundings after the day's crowds depart will lull you to sleep at night, be sure to wake up early to catch one of the most beautiful sunrises you'll ever see.

Night 6: Zion Lodge
Zion National Park, Utah

The only place to stay inside beautiful Zion National Park, reservations are hard to come by at Zion Lodge – but Tauck Bridges guarantees your accommodations in this sought-after historic lodge. Spectacular views of the park's massive sandstone cliffs welcome you throughout the lodge, especially in the dining room, where the wilderness provides a most unbelievable scenic backdrop. Your accommodations here offer you the perfect opportunity to enjoy Zion's uninterrupted beauty; this natural sanctuary is home to more than 146,000 acres of cliffs, canyons, plant and animal life. All rooms have air conditioning, phones, radio alarm clocks and hairdryers, and, thankfully, no TVs to distract from the serenity of your accommodation's amazing location.

Night 7: New York-New York Hotel
Las Vegas, Nevada

Set amidst of all the Las Vegas action, New York-New York gives your family a bite of the “Big Apple.” If you’ve been to New York City, you’ll immediately recognize some transplanted famous landmarks. Spacious guest rooms feature air-conditioning, cable TV, iron and ironing board, electronic safe and a hairdryer. You’ll find the crystal-clear water of the swimming pool pretty tempting in toasty-warm Las Vegas; and you’ll want to be sure to take a ride on The Roller Coaster that rockets up 203 feet in the air and reaches a speed of 67 mph! If you find yourself in need of a nibble, you’ll have a lot places to choose from, just like you would on the streets of New York.
